I’m SANKOFA MENTAL HEALTH, a Mental Health Service Provider and Life Coach based in Pierce County Area - here to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult matters. I truly care about my clients’ well-being and guarantee top of the line consulting and therapeutic services catered to their needs.
Since 2011, I have provided a number of specialized therapeutic services to hundreds of individuals dealing with challenging life experiences in South King, Pierce, Thurston and Kitsap Counties. Client well-being is my number one priority, and I go above and beyond to help them through all their obstacles.

I worked as a Mental Health Provider as a contractor providing mental health assessments, individual and family therapy and parenting services for DCYF and contracting with local BHAs.

POSITIVE PARENTING COACH
I am a Positive Parenting Coach for the Positive Parenting Program based out of Australia. This is an evidence based program that focuses on positive redirection. I am certified in Standard Level 4 (ages 2-12), Pathways and Teens.

ALCOHOL DRUG INFORMATION SCHOOL INSTRUCTOR
I was trained to be an instructor to teach court ordered individuals ADIS. Participants spend eight hours in an informative and empowering environment with an ADIS instructor who carries the necessary educational background and required certification to teach the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse-approved curriculum.

RECOVERY COACH TRAINER
Recovery Coaches are trained in skills where they are to demonstrate their "ability to treat people as resources by actively listening and asking good questions, all while discovering and managing their own stuff. It may sound simple, but being able to achieve this goal takes considerable skill. We like to think of it as the Art and Science of Recovery Coaching".

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID USA TRAINER
I am a Mental Health First Aid Trainer. "Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues". We train community members to be first responders to recognize when someone is having a mental health crisis.
